Privacy Policy

This policy covers tekton.ink and its subpages. Tekton is a one-person custom software studio operating from the Philippines. Questions about anything here go to admin@tekton.ink.
1. What we collect
a. When you fill in the enquiry form
Only what you type, plus two technical fields kept to stop spam:
| Field | Why |
|---|---|
| Name, email address, phone number | To reply to you. |
| Company name, company size, project type | To judge whether we can actually help, and to quote. |
| Your message | It is the enquiry. |
| Which page or ad referred you | To know which pages are worth keeping. |
| IP address and browser user agent | Rate limiting only — one person cannot flood the form. Not used to profile you. |
Nothing on this site asks for a password, a payment card, a government ID, or any special-category data (health, religion, politics, and so on). Please do not put such details in the message box.
b. Site analytics — cookieless, and deliberately forgetful
We run our own analytics rather than a third-party product. It records page views, video progress, and button clicks. It does not set a cookie, and it does not store your raw IP address.
To count how many different people visited on a given day without knowing who they are, your IP address and user agent are combined with a secret salt and put through a one-way hash. That salt rotates every day. The result cannot be reversed into an IP address, and yesterday's identifier cannot be matched to today's — so the system is structurally unable to follow a person across days.
What is kept per event: the date, the event name, the page path, the traffic source, the host of the referring site (not the full URL), a coarse country, a device class (mobile or desktop), and — where you arrived from one of our ads — the ad identifier from the link.
c. Meta Pixel and Conversions API — on some pages only
Pages we advertise, such as /ph, load the Meta Pixel. Pages without ads behind them do not, and no third-party request is made from them at all.
Where the pixel is present, Meta receives standard PageView and Lead events plus custom events for clicking a call-to-action and for reaching 50% or 100% of a video. This uses Meta's own _fbp cookie and, if you clicked an ad, the click identifier in the link.
When you submit the form or open a Messenger chat with us, one Lead event is also sent to Meta from our server through the Conversions API. Both copies carry the same event ID so Meta collapses them into a single event rather than counting two. The server copy is sent for lead events only — never for page views or video events.
Meta is an independent controller of the data it receives this way. Their handling of it is governed by the Meta Privacy Policy, and your ad preferences are yours to change in your Facebook or Instagram settings.
d. If you message us on Messenger
Clicking a chat link opens a normal Facebook Messenger conversation. That conversation lives in Meta's systems under their policy, not ours. We read and answer it as a person; nothing on this site posts to Facebook on your behalf, and nothing here reads your Facebook profile.
2. Why we are allowed to hold it
- Your enquiry — because you asked us to contact you, and because we have a legitimate interest in answering a sales enquiry we received.
- Cookieless analytics — legitimate interest in knowing which pages work. It identifies nobody.
- The Meta Pixel — consent, where the law where you live requires it. Do not proceed on an advertised page if you would rather not be measured; blocking it in your browser has no effect on anything else on the site.
3. Who else sees it
No data is sold, rented, or traded. Ever. It is shared only with the services that make the site run:
| Who | What they get |
|---|---|
| Cloudflare | Hosting, and the database the enquiries sit in. |
| Meta Platforms | Advertising events, as described in 1(c) — on advertised pages only. |
| Our email provider | A copy of your enquiry, so it reaches the inbox. |
We will also disclose data where a law we are subject to genuinely requires it.
4. How long it is kept
- Enquiries: up to 24 months from your last contact with us, then deleted. If we end up working together, project records are kept as long as tax and accounting rules require.
- Analytics events: up to 24 months, in the aggregate form described above. There is nothing personal in them to delete.
- Meta's own copy: Meta's retention, not ours.
5. Your rights, and how to delete your data
You may ask us to show you what we hold, correct it, or erase it. You may also object to us holding it at all. Deletion has its own page, in more detail: Data Deletion Instructions.
To have your data deleted: email admin@tekton.ink from the address you used, with the subject line Delete my data. If you contacted us by phone or Messenger instead, say so and give us the number or name you used.
We will confirm and complete it within 30 days, at no cost. This erases your enquiry row and every associated field — name, email, phone, company, message, IP, and user agent.
Two honest limits. Our cookieless analytics holds no identifier that can be traced back to you, so there is nothing in it to single out and remove. And events already delivered to Meta are deleted through Facebook's own settings, since we cannot reach into their systems.
Unhappy with our answer? You may complain to the National Privacy Commission of the Philippines, or to your local data protection authority if you are elsewhere.
6. Children
This is a business-to-business site and is not directed at anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has sent us something, email us and it will be deleted.
7. Security
The site is served over HTTPS. Enquiries are stored in a managed database with access limited to the studio owner. No system is perfect, and we will not pretend otherwise — but we hold very little, and what we hold is not the kind of thing anyone wants to steal.
8. Changes
If this policy changes materially, the date at the top changes with it. There is no version history to hunt through: what is on this page is what applies today.
